Online Tutoring
Tired of having to drive across Charlotte's crowded streets to get your child to his/her tutoring appointment? Maybe your tutor comes to your house...does staying home to supervise confound your daily schedule?
If you answered "yes" to either of these questions, then perhaps online tutoring would be right for your child. Using some of the latest technology in video conferencing, I can assist your student achieve their mathematical potential.
Will This Work For My Child?
Since a tutor isn't physically present, some
parents worry whether online tutoring will be effective with their child. Ironically, even students
with moderate attention deficits are drawn into the "virtual" environment.
In fact, by using a web cam I can monitor behavior to a degree, helping to insure active student participation. Of course, online tutoring isn't for everyone: extremely immature and/or undermotivated students may not have the focus necessary to profit from this experience.
Special Introductory Rate
The first online session costs only $20.00/hr. If the student and guardian are comfortable with this method of tutoring, all future sessions will cost $30.00/hr.
Need Help Setting Up Your Computer?
For $40.00, let the Charlotte Math Tutor assist you in setting up your computer for an online tutoring experience. I will help the student install the necessary software/hardware and run a diagnostic check of the system.
The Seiko InkLink Pen is required hardware, used by both parties to visually communicate during the
session. The Charlotte Math Tutor sells it for $100.00, including shipping. The kit will come with the
