Most students require only 1-2 hours per week for math classes, but may require considerably more time preparing for standardized
tests (e.g., SAT test). As a general rule, students who earned a "D" or "F" will likely need 2 hours per week, whereas most students
who earned a "C" or higher usually need 1 hour per week.
Please make check(s) payable to "Charlotte Math Tutor." Cash is acceptable as well. For your convenience,
a secure, online PayPal link is included to the left. Note that users of this method of payment will be
charged a nominal percentage fee.
Although longer-term contracts offer you greater savings, these savings can
diminish quickly if a student frequently cancels appointments. Long-term contracts are especially
suited for students who have a fairly regular schedule, at least for part of the school year.
I will make a good-faith effort to reschedule cancelled appointments at a different
time that week. However, during high-demand times (e.g., semester exams) it may be impossible to
reschedule the cancelled appointment.
College-bound students with insufficient mathematical backgrounds are frequently required to take as many as
three remedial math courses before they may enroll in the required courses. Tuition for these remedial courses can cost
thousands of dollars!
Since virtually every college major has some math component on its required course list, there is no way
around having to learn math.
Make sure your child is prepared for future academic challenges! An old adage, "Spend a little
now or a whole lot later on," is certainly applicable to mathematics education!

Ever notice that other tutoring companies rarely list their rates, or if they do, it's tucked away in a hard-to-find webpage.
There are several reasons why they do this, and none of them are in the best interest of the consumer:
- expensive "evaluation" process they don't want you to see initially
- inability to update their own website as prices change...so they don't list them
- some companies think if you need to ask about price, then they don't want you as a client
